PTA/PA

Dear P176X Families, Welcome to the 2026—2027 school year! As our students grow through middle and high school, family and school partnerships help them build confidence, strengthen their skills, and prepare for what comes next. The P176X Parent-Teacher Association brings families, guardians, and staff together to support student learning, well-being, and meaningful participation in school life. Your voice helps us advocate for the resources and opportunities our students need

All NYC Public schools are required to have either a:

  • Parent Association (PA)

  • Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

These organizations help:

  • advocate for students and families

  • update parents and families about the school

  • plan and run activities for parents and families

PA/PTAs can support a school in a number of ways, including:

  • hosting parent workshops

  • organizing activities for families—both academic and social

  • raising funds

  • running volunteer events
